Emma is a rising sophomore who was born in Boston but raised between Lexington, Massachusetts and Aarhus, Denmark. She is passionate about her cultural background and hopes to major in European or Intellectual History, with a minor in French or Political Science. A classically trained ballet dancer, Emma dances in both Orchesis and CoLab shows during the semester, and hopes to choreograph her own piece in the fall. When she’s not working at or hanging out in the Barnard Store, Emma can be found searching for sun or a good place to read around campus. She volunteers every week as an art teacher with Artists Reaching Out in a local elementary school classroom, and also participates in builds with Habitat for Humanity throughout the semester. During the summer, when Emma is not visiting family in Denmark or traveling to a new country, she is passionate about working with and educating children. This summer she interned as an English teacher in Houston, Texas with Breakthrough Collaborative. In the fall, Emma is excited to join the constellation program and meet the many new Fornax faces as your Constellation Leader!
